The GK Gold is Potclays' flagship kiln range, made entirely in Stoke-on-Trent, and built to a standard that reflects it.

Where the EP range trades some wall thickness for speed and value, the Gold goes the other way: a genuinely heavier-duty build designed for studios and educators who want the best possible consistency and longevity from their kiln, not just the fastest turnaround.

At the core is the same solid angle iron frame construction found across Potclays' range, real structural strength, not the folded sheet steel some manufacturers rely on to cut costs. The Gold's thicker wall construction gives you better heat retention and more even firing results, at the cost of a slower cooling cycle than the EP, a trade-off well worth making if you value consistency and durability over speed of turnaround.
