What to expect from your Kilncare delivery.

Thinking of buying a Kilncare kiln?

Here, we will walk you through exactly what you can expect from your delivery.

 

Arrival

Estimated delivery is currently 5-6 weeks.

Around a week before your delivery, we will let you know that your kiln will be ready soon, and ask you for a date that best suits you to receive it.

Unfortunately, we are unable to give you an ETA in advance, although the courier does allow AM or PM preference delivery for an extra cost. We may be able to call and get an ETA for you on the day of the delivery.

Your kiln will be delivered kerbside to your given delivery address. The kiln will be wrapped and on a pallet.

Furniture and instruction manuals will be in a box underneath the kiln.

Setting up the Kiln

It is recommended that you have two people to lift the kiln off of the pallet. Note that the kiln is slightly heavier towards the back.

Kilncare kilns come with high quality wheels so you should be able to push it easily along a smooth surface.

Once you have the kiln placed in your desired position:

-Put down the latches on either side of the kiln

-It is recommended that you leave a 30cm gap between the kiln and the wall.

-Lock wheels using the foot switch

-Plug into the wall via a 2m lead.

-Two screws are included for you to fit the controller arm to the kiln.

-Plug in the controller to the kiln via the hartling socket.

Dry firing

1. Load furniture into kiln

2. Open the airflow vents

3. Select program 22 using the controller

4. Press the start button

The elements including in the kiln last on average 100 firings. Replacements can be bought through us.
