Shipping Policy

Clay, Glazes & Tools

Shipping for clay, glazes, and tools is calculated at checkout based on order weight.

We previously included delivery costs in product prices, but this meant customers ordering smaller or lighter quantities were effectively paying more to subsidise heavier orders. Calculating delivery by weight allows us to charge shipping more fairly and transparently, so you only pay for the delivery your order actually requires.

Free Shipping Items

Kilns

  • Shipping: Free

  • Delivery time: Varies depending on manufacturer lead times

  • Lead times are shown on the product page where available.

  • If you’re unsure, please email us at info@thepotterypeople.co.uk and we’ll be happy to confirm.

Delivery is kerbside only. This service does not include moving the kiln beyond the kerb or installation.

If you require engineer delivery (specialist moving, positioning, and installation), this must be arranged before placing your order. Engineer delivery is quoted on a case-by-case basis.


Shimpo Pottery Wheels

  • Shipping: Free

  • Delivery time: Typically 3–10 business days


The Pottery People Home Studio Wheel

  • Shipping: Free

  • Delivery time: Typically 1–5 business days


Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking details to become active.

If you haven’t received your order within one month of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@thepotterypeople.co.uk with your name and order number, and we’ll look into it for you.
