Harry Fraser Porcelain is a strong, white and translucent body developed to combine excellent throwing characteristics with consistency and reliability. It is smooth and responsive on the wheel, making it well suited to functional and refined forms where clarity of surface is important.
This porcelain fires to a clean, bright white and develops a pleasing translucency at higher temperatures. Its balance of strength and plasticity makes it a favourite among both experienced porcelain throwers and those moving into working with porcelain for the first time.
Firing range: 1220 to 1290C (Cone 6 to 10)
Indicative texture: 1 on a scale of 1 (very smooth) to 10 (very coarse)
Indicative total contraction at 1200C: 14 percent*
